In collaboration with the Minor Planet Center, Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian, Cambridge, MA, USA

I am an astrophysicist working on asteroid orbits, celestial mechanics, and astrometric data analysis. My work includes using Gaia data and ground-based observations to investigate the Yarkovsky effect, orbit refinement, and photocenter–barycenter offsets.

Currently, I am focusing on a statistical analysis of observatory performance in order to develop a comprehensive weighting scheme for automated and improved orbit determination.

In recognition of my scientific and outreach activities, the minor planet (20446) Karolinadziadura was named in my honor. Its orbital data are available in the NASA/JPL Small-Body Database .

Asteroid orbit precision and long-arc astrometry

I also create the podcast Karolina Asks the Universe, where I explore astronomy and science topics in an accessible way.

Popular-Science Comic

I am also the author of the popular-science comic A Star Is Born, which explains how stars form and evolve through an accessible visual story. The comic is available free of charge in Polish and English.
